Game Log Tips and Tricks

Player game logs for each season can be accessed via the Game Logs section of the toolbar on player pages, or by simply clicking the year in the "Season" column of tables on the site. For example, Bobby Witt Jr.'s 2025 batting game log can be found by clicking the "2025" link in his Standard Batting table.

That will take you to this page:

The game log page has a row for each game the player played in that season and their statistics in those games.  Clicking on the links in either the Date or Result columns will take you to the box score for the game. The red numbers in the Gcar, Gtm and PA columns are also clickable and each has a different feature.

Clicking a number in the Gcar column will bring up a pop up box that shows the player's career statistics through that game. Clicking a number in the Gtm column will bring up a similar table with the player's season stats through that game. And clicking on any number in the PA column will return a summary of each of the player's plate appearances in that game, including inning, base-out situation, opposing pitcher, pitch sequence, and the result of the play.

Clicking on any two rows in the game logs will open a pop up box that shows the players statistics in the period selected. Below is an example of Witt's stats from April 10 to May 1, 2025.

Above the batting game log tables is a collection of other data points of interest, including longest hitting streak, number of go-ahead hits, and data related to RBIs.

Similar game logs exist for pitchers, and clicking on two rows to sum the data is also an option on those pages. Postseason game logs are also available via the Game Logs section of the toolbar on player pages, or can be accessed by clicking a year in the Postseason Batting / Pitching tables. Fielding game logs can also be found in the Game Logs section of the toolbar.

Team Batting and Pitching game logs are accessible via the main team-season pages. In the navigation bar, click Batting or Pitching and then Game Logs to get to these pages.
