Who qualifies as having played for a team in Immaculate Grid?
In
Immaculate Grid, a player will only count as having played for a team if they have appeared in a regular season or postseason game for that team. Players who only appeared for a team in Spring Training, pre-season etc. will not count as having played for the club. New signings and traded players will not count for their new teams until they have appeared in a game for them. Appearing on the bench for a team is not enough to count for the team categories: they must have made it onto the field.
For
Immaculate Footy, players must have appeared for the team in one of the leagues or competitions listed in the rules for Immaculate Footy. For more information, see Immaculate Footy Data Coverage.
The Sports Reference sites that power Immaculate Grid update early in the morning (Eastern Time) each day, so if a player makes their debut for a team in the evening, they will count for that team in Immaculate Grid once the databases update overnight.
