World Cup Categories

Immaculate Footy features two World Cup categories: World Cup Appearance and World Cup Goal. Data coverage is complete for these competitions (back to 1930 for men, 1991 for women), though note that qualifying matches are not included for these categories. 

Bear in mind that, even though World Cup data coverage is complete, players for whom we have no league data since 1992-1993 will not appear as options in the search bar. This is to limit instances where a player might theoretically match for a category in the grid, but would not be accepted as a correct answer due to league data coverage. For example, Roger Milla played for Monaco and Montpellier in the 1980s, but (were he selectable in Immaculate Footy) would appear as incorrect if used as an answer for a Monaco / Montpellier cell or Montpellier / 10+ league goals, as Immaculate Footy does not cover Ligue 1 that far back. Therefore we do not include Milla as an option to be selected in the game. The trade off is that Milla cannot then be entered for the World Cup categories, but we feel that this way limits frustration overall.
