All-Star Games

A complete index of American League vs. National League All-Star Games can be found at the following link:

That page is accessible from the footer of every page on the site, or by typing "All-Star Game" into the Baseball Reference search bar.

Clicking on the link in the Year or Date column on that page will take you to the box score for that year's game.

As an example, here is the box score for the first NL vs. AL All-Star Game in 1933:

A list of East-West All-Star Games, the annual All-Star game featuring Negro Leagues players, can be found by clicking the East vs West tab above the table on the All-Star Index.

All-Star Players

On the main All-Star page there are also links to all-time hitting and pitching leaders for the NL vs. AL All-Star Game, all-time registers for batters and pitchers, and starting lineups for each game (AL and NL). Those pages are accessible via the navigation bar to the left of the page.

A leaderboard for the most times appearing on an All-Star roster (NL vs. AL and East-West) can be found at the following link:

All-Star Information on Player Pages

To see if a player was on an All-Star roster in a given season, you can look in the Awards column on tables on their player page. An "AS" link indicates they were an All-Star that season, and clicking on the link will take you to the All-Star Game for that year. Here's an example from Henry Aaron's page:

Additionally, the Appearances on Leaderboards, Awards, and Honors section on player pages lists each year that the player was an All-Star. An asterisk means they were on the roster but did not play, and a position in parenthesis means they started the game at that position.

The number of times the player was an All-Star is listed at the very top of their player page.

To see a player's stats in All-Star Games, first navigate to their Advanced Stats page from the navigation bar:

Then scroll down to the All-Star Batting or All-Star Pitching table.

Years with Multiple All-Star Games

Note that for some seasons, two All-Star Games were held. There were multiple East-West All-Star Games in 1939, 1942 and from 1946 to 1948. The NL and AL held two All-Star Games in each year from 1959 to 1962, which allowed Henry Aaron to be nominated to the All-Star team more times (25) than he had seasons played (23) in his career!

All-Star Indexes for Teams

On franchise history pages, a list of every player who represented the team at the All-Star Game can be found in the Honors section of the toolbar.

Those pages list every All-Star for that franchise in each season, as well as their stats in each of those games. Here are those batting and pitching registers for the Atlanta Braves, for example:
